Mathcounts is open to students in 7th and 8th grade. Members meet once a week from 7:35 AM - 8:05 AM starting in November and meeting throughout January. During this period of time students will work on challenging math problems in groups with their peers. The goal is for students to enjoy challenging their mathematical skills in a fun environment. All students that are part of the Mathcounts team will compete in the Mathcounts meet that 3M sponsors each year. This is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their abilities in mathematics to other schools. We will also take ten students each year to the Traverse de Sioux Meet at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

All students in 7th and 8th grade are encouraged to give Mathcounts a chance.
