First Lego League Robotics Club

(Grades 4-6)

Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robotics is used in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, electronics, retail, and pharmaceutical. The Robotics Club will provide an out-of-school opportunity for students in grades 4-12 to participate in Robotics. Robotics is highly engaging and assists students in rapid learning in areas such as science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). These opportunities will assist students in developing skills that can be used in and outside the classroom.

Students will:

  • Develop an understanding of the basic components of robots and their uses in real-world applications

  • Program a robot (coding)

  • Run experiments and participate in challenges and competitions

  • Collaborate with others

  • Engage in problem-solving

  • Design and create robots

  • Develop interpersonal social skills while communicating with their peers about their robot.
