Hello from Mrs. Anita Shikoski!

Anita picture"In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you.”    --Mortimer Jerome Adler
I received my teaching degree in English and Speech Communications from Minnesota State University in Mankato in 1983. I began teaching freshmen and junior English at CHS in the fall of 1983, and then spent a number of years teaching reading and language arts at the former Holy Trinity Middle School. In the fall of 2011, I returned to CHS, where I currently teach 7th and 8th grade reading and 8th grade language arts. I am married to John and we have a son, Joe, who graduated from CHS in 2011. In my free time I love to read, play tennis, and attend plays and musicals.
When teaching at CHS, I try to remember the kind of teacher that I needed, and try to be that teacher for your sons and daughters. It is an honor and a privilege to work with your children!

Books are the plane, and the train, and the road. They are the destinations, and the journey. They are home."
